For me, it made very good sense to align and coordinate our efforts when it comes to promoting Aalborg.
I believe Aalborg Forsyning can play an important role in attracting major international companies, especially within the energy sector.
We can also help attract development activities at test and demonstration level, particularly in areas where industry and utilities are increasingly connected.
I also found the ambassador initiative both strong and forward-thinking. It creates a relevant local network and brings key local actors closer together around a shared ambition for Aalborg.
How do you see Aalborg's potential as a business city?
I see enormous potential in Aalborg because of the city’s size, location, university, and continued growth.
To realise that potential, we must make sure Aalborg is competitive on the parameters that matter to businesses.
That means access to a safe and secure environment, a modern city, skilled labour, development opportunities and know-how, green energy, and local support when establishing a business.
At the same time, we must be open about the expectations we have. Companies coming here should meet high standards when it comes to working conditions, sustainability, responsible business practices, and collaboration with local partners and the municipality.

To extend our network and business relations globally, Invest in Aalborg has appointed a number of Ambassadors. They are all profoundly dedicated and based in Aalborg. At the same time they and their businesses embrace global relations.
