About the job as Investment Manager
You will have a unique opportunity to help put Aalborg's strengths into play globally and guide both Danish and international companies about market opportunities in Aalborg, including establishment, localisation, networking and recruitment. You will be the companies' one-point-of-contact in Aalborg and help with introductions to relevant business partners and support business cases through facts and networking.
You will be responsible for one or more strategic focus areas - e.g. green transition, defence-related technologies or the aerospace industry, where you will identify new business opportunities and actively seek out potential companies and partners. You will also be an important ambassador for Aalborg's business community, both nationally and internationally, participating in networks and conferences to present the city's potential.
You will handle leads, facilitate contacts and collaborations and ensure that our guests and business partners have a professional and inspiring experience - from first meeting to establishment.
What we expect from you
It is essential that our future Investment Manager is a strong relationship and result creator with an eye for detail. You have a solid commercial understanding and proven experience in international business development, consultative sales and/or investment promotion.
You thrive on outreach work and having to solve many different tasks. At the same time, you master the balance between strategy and execution and have an eye for Aalborg's many unique competences.
You work independently and take responsibility, but also take pride in contributing to the community and playing well with your colleagues. You want to speak up - both in meetings and on stage - and you have the ability to create lasting relationships. Meeting new people with energy, curiosity and professionalism comes naturally to you.
You are also characterised by the fact that you:
- have strong cultural understanding, are diplomatic and behave professionally at all levels - from specialist to director
- focus on the customer and take pride in providing good service
- have a great passion for making a difference for companies, for Aalborg and for society
- are ready for change and navigate naturally in a politically controlled organisation
- speak and write English at negotiation level
- have a good knowledge of Aalborg's business community and a large network
- Experience in green transition, defence or aerospace industry is an advantage.

You will be part of a dedicated team at Invest in Aalborg, where we solve tasks together and contribute with our different backgrounds and experiences. You will also work closely with your colleagues in BusinessAalborg and will have a total of 45 talented colleagues who are full of ideas and passionate about making a difference for Aalborg and North Jutland's business community. Together, our primary task is to make it easy to start, run and develop a business based in our part of Denmark. In addition, you can look forward to being part of a department with good coffee, high ceilings and lots of humour.
Salary and terms of employment are determined based on your professional background and qualifications. The workplace address is Invest in Aalborg, C.A. Olesens Gade 4, 9000 Aalborg. Minor travelling will be a natural part of the job. Job start is preferably 1 September 2025.
