New university hospital in Aalborg

Investment Manager, Helena Peyron introduces Life Science in Aalborg at the new hospital

So much is going on in the Life Science sector - right now in Aalborg - and the new hospital will be a focal point for MedTech and Life Science in the coming years.

🏣 When done, the site will have autonomous transport carriers, electronic tracking of equipment and the latest digital platforms supporting the approx. 200.000 m2 of different buildings and facilities. The site is close to the university and has room for new innovative companies looking to test and develop health care solutions of the future.

👩‍⚕️👷‍♂️ One thing that really makes Aalborg stand out is the connection between engineering and health care. Aalborg has the highest ranked engineering university in Europe and the innovation, research and talent from the university are making a huge difference in MedTech and Health Care.

Today I've come out of the office to tell you, what is going on in the north of Denmark within the life science sector.

That is why I'm situated right outside the new university hospital that is being build as we speak right here behind me actually.

It is situated right next to Aalborg University - A university that has been ranked as the best engineering university in all of Europe. That is quite something I think.

What is unique here is the close collaboration between the engineers and the doctors, because together they create the solutions of tomorrow.

Furthermore, we have a vibrant community of MedTech companies and a pipeline of talent.

+ Psychiatry on a total of 26,000 m²
+ Steno Diabetes Center with a total of approx. 8,000 m²
